How to install 1X512 + 2X256 and still have dual channel?

I have a Abit NF7 (non-S) Mobo. I am running a 2500+ @ 10X221Mhz. I was running (3) sticks of 256MB Corsair XMS 2,2,2,6 PC3200. I now also have a stick of 512MB Corsair XMS 2,2,2,5 PC3200. I would like to upgrade my memory to 1GB and still keep the benefits (however small) of dual channel. With only 3 slots I am not sure which sticks to put where. I don't see it covered in the Mobo manual. How do I know which two represent a single channel? Or, which one slot represents the single channel?

Any help/links would be appreciated. I have visited abit.com http://www.abit-usa.com/produc...tegories=1&model=8], and checked the online manual also (in case of any revisions)http://www.abit-usa.com/produc...tegories=1&model=8]. When I did a search for the word 'dual', none of the 4 results came up with a suggested layout for memory to support a Dual Channel configuration. Any information would be appreciated. Again, any links supporting what you say will also be greatly appreciated.

BTW: None of the slots are colored, they all are black.

Put the two 256MB in slot 1 & 2 (the two which are close together and nearer the inside of the mobo), put the 512MB in slot 3 (the outside slot).
