How to indentify a CPU and motherboard?

A guy I know was clearing out his closet and gave me a bunch of stuff.

There is a motherboard and a CPU I cannot Identify and would appreciate some help. The CPU is Intel, and I have only ever owned AMD.

The pic of the chip is a bit blurry, but the side with the pins says:

Also, he gave me an MSI socket 462 board. Does anyone know where I can find a model # or other idenitfying info so I can see what it is?

So, the chip is basically a dust collector, huh?

I also have an ASUS A7V133 Rev 1.0
that is pretty much useless, too... right?

He also gave me a box full of PSUs that are all 350W-350W. I did not have the heart to refuse him to his face, as he is really a nice guy and thought he was doing me good. But I think I am gonna have to just dump this stuff.

It is of no use to me. As is the rest of this stuff... no use to me.

My rig is in my SIG and I am in the process of building a 64 x2 core system. I have about three systems in the closet ranging from 1-5 years old as well as enough parts to build a couple more.

And I recently purchased a nice, built to order Dell laptop because I gave the one I was using to my daughter when the one I gave her previously puked out.

So.. I have absolutely no need for this stuff. I do not even know if any of it i worth the shipping charge it would take if someone wanted it, so if there is no place to drop it all off, I will just end up trashing it all.
 
Karen, donate it to a recycling center, charity, or non-profit agency and get a donation receipt for tax purposes. 🙂
