I lol'd.

Actually, video games do help more than you think. A doctor told my girlfriend's mother that she should do that to help.

Find a wall and start bouncing a raquetball or tennis ball off of it and catch it with your bare hands.

That's what I did to get better at catching a baseball when I was a kid. My fielding skills improved dramatically.

Does my hand-eye coordination really suck if my finger ended up in my nostril?

The more you play those games, the better your eye-hand will become. Vid games help too.

You need to work on channeling your hand-nose coordination into hand-eye coordinations.

repeated practice. Anyting like throwing darts, basketball, juggling requires just a ton of practicing.

Pool is a bit different, you need hand-eye for hitting the cue exactly as you want, but you need to be able to plan shots, etc. Again, practice and lots of it. Preferably with another person as they can check your posture to see if you are doing anything "wrong" or at least offer suggestions.

Instead of looking at the porn on your monitor while your hand is.....you know, "busy," watch what you're doing. Hand + eye involvement = improved hand-eye coordination.

OK, this is what you do.

Go get yourself a quality ball (not those cheap $2.99 ones) and just keep dribbling until you can do anything. Do a lot of ball control drills. (dribble around each foot, crossover, speed, left hand etc)

basically the only thing that made me on the basketball team

really depends on what you want the hand-eye coordination for to be honest. You can do the ball against a wall drill, but it won't really help you dribbling a basketball, and vice versa. If you told us what you need the hand-eye coordination to do it would help.

If you can dodge wrenches you can improve your eye-hand coordination. At least that's what Patches O'Hoolihan said to me once.

Yea thats a really good one, and switch hands also, i.e throw with your right hand catch with your left and vice versa. harder than you think..

Its a good workout too, the amount of times you'll be running after it and picking it up! haha
