How to identify core speed on Athlon Classic CPU ?

I now have some time on my hands, got a working slot A Athlon 800, and want to try some AMD OC'ing. I'm reading about some of the classic Athlon slot A processors having a faster core than what the chip was actually rated (and I assume better for overclocking). Does anyone remember how to tell what speed the core is ? Thanks,

Bob

You will have to remove the heat plate. I got one of those Classic Athlon. I bought it as a 700mhz and crack the case and heat plate open and it has a 900 core. That is the luckiest experience for me with a cpu.
