How to hook several computers up to two separate networks

Hello folks,

I?ve been asked to do something by a customer that I?ve never done before. They are a radio station, and their software vendor (Enco) has asked them to take their on-air server and workstations and put the audio traffic on a separate, dedicated network. They recommend have two switches that are not connected to each other (audio and office networks), and have two network cards in every computer, so they can join both networks. On the office side I have a couple 2003 domain controllers and a default gateway to the Internet. So the question is this: how do I prioritize what traffic takes the path I want between computers? What would determine whether the packets go through the 1000Mbps connection on the audio network to another computer, or whether it goes through the 100Mbps connection on the office side to another computer, since they are all members of both networks? The audio side will be static IPs, the office side static or DHCP. Default gateway is on the office side for Internet accessibility. How do I ensure which path between computers network traffic takes? I?m guessing the audio network wouldn?t have a default gateway at all?

Thanks!
Aaron
