hey guys, i currently have a TBird 800 (Green core) running at 950, at 1.775 volts. I just can't get the thing to load into windows at a gig... i pumped up the voltage, and that got me into winodws, I ran a SiSoft Sandra test, then the comp retarted on me. Maybe I should try some of the higher settings first? I remember some people getting Durons to work at like 950 but not at 850, and so on... the temps are cool, only about 39C on a full load... so I dont think its the temp. Maybe this chip just won't go any higher? Any suggestions of what I can do? Maybe some BIOS settings? thanks

What voltage were you using at 1 gig to get into Windows? Over at Tom's Hardware, they mod'd boards to provide up to 2.3 something. 2.3 is insane, but 2.0's not so crazy if you have good cooling.

Give it a look.

i had the voltage at 1.85. cant go any higher than that. i also had to change some of the options in BIOS (disabling stuff) in order to get it to windows. heat isnt a problem tho, so im thinking this chip is just about at its max...

definatly worth taking a look at what tom did, you might just need a little extra voltage, and at 39c u can spare heat
