What he's saying is he created a YouTube account years ago and for security purposes, they required him to set up a challenge question that only he should know the answer to. For example: What was the make of your first car.

Later, he stumbled across a comment he made in the past, on someone else's YouTube video, where he specified the answer. For example: "Great review of the Toyota Camry. My first car was a Toyota too!"

So, if someone wanted to reset his password, they would be able to find out the answer to the challenge question.

Getting the question right probably generates an email with a unique link to reset the password. If I don't have access to your email, I can't reset your password.

i use a generic passcode only i know to answer those security questions. "what is your dogs name" and i answer something that is like "dwe4482". they all get answered the same or very similar.
