How to ghost data from old HD to new 100GB HD

I've received my new WD1000SE today, I've got it formated but I can't seem to ghost the stuff over.

I used a Win98 book disk and it only recognizes my old WD600BB it won't see the 1000SE, in fact it only shows a 30GB partition.

The drive works fine under Win2k. Any suggestions?

Edit: Both drives formated as FAT32

You might try to download a newer bootdisk from bootdisk.com. I think the older versions had some limit under 100gigs, I forget the exact number.

WD drives usually come with a floppy that has data lifeguard tools which

will let you copy your old HD to the new one...

If you don't have the disk, you can get it here

Important Note: If you have onboard raid, the data lifeguard acts funny. Put both the HDs

on a regular IDE channel long enough for the copy, then put them back where you want them.

I tried using the WD Lifeguard disk copy program last time I upgraded drives. Didn't work. The new drive thought it was the same size as the old one (went from a 4.3gb to 40gb)... wasn't able to change the drive size...it was really confused. I had to load all programs again.

This time, I went from 40gb to 100gb and used Norton Ghost. $70, which stinks, but I didn't want to have to go through that again. Just be SURE after you clone the disk from one to another that you shut down, and DISCONNECT the old drive. Otherwise, when you reboot, both drives get hosed up. Says so in the manual, but can't be mentioned enough, IMHO.
