How to get White Shirts clean in the laundry

My youngest kid just got a second (third) job at I Hop - He's forever spilling coffee on his shirts - how do you get your white shirts clean?

Shout gel works very well, for me. But don't wash in hot, it will set the stain. Wash and rinse in cold, then check to be sure the stain is gone before drying.

+1 for Oxyclean. Also, a paste of roughly equal parts table salt, vinegar and 3% hydrogen peroxide works reasonably well on trouble spots like yellowing in the underarm area.

Bleach and Oxyclean with a dash of Amonia.....or DD7 if you can even still find that stuff anywhere, i swear, that stuff was the bomb and could remove even blood splatter.

Oxygen bleach. Chlorine bleach weakens the fabric and subsequently lowers the life of the fabric.

Source : I have a dry cleaning business.

Soak the shirts with 1/2 cup of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide per full load, or second best, Oxyclean.

Never used Oxyclean, but sounds awesome.

I had some massive underarm yellowing on one of my favourite white shirts, and got a huge lot of it out using baking soda paste. You just buy $1/box baking soda, mix a bit with water until it turns into a paste (not too watery), mash it onto a soaked shirt's problem area, then let sit for a few minutes. Don't let it sit too long if it's coloured - no idea how "well" it removes color.

oxyclean is awesome, but i am still conservative with how strong i mix a batch. i'll use about 1-2 tbsp in the wash in addition to a 1/2 recommended capfull of detergent.
