at'ers,

i was just reading a piece on how to replace the hsf on a vid card at virtual hideout and the reviewer posted temps for his vid card. just curious if there is any way to get this off the card or if he was probably using his own probe. anybody know?

most likely he had a temperature sensor he installed in there on his own

you can just get something like a radio shack indoor / outdoor thermometer, and run the external temp probe though a hole in a pci slot and slap it on the heatsink or if you're mobo supports external temperature probes you can find some that actually mount *under* the HSF...which gives a more accurate reading

i've never heard of any "integrated" temp sensor for video cards

Asus does it all the time, and AOpen does it on occasion... their the only manufacturers I'm aware of that make a habit of integrating temperature senors.

Probably with this. I have one and use one for the CPU and the other for the ram. But you could always use it for your video card.
