The other day i was horsin around with a tube of superglue, and couldnt get it to open, finally i did, and some squirted on my monitor, but i had no idea it did this till some time later.

Is there any way to get it off?

It is on the glass, or the bezel?

Glass: Razor blade / Exacto knife
Plastic: You'r screwed. Just leave it there... or you will just make it worse.

Do NOT use a razor on the glass, you'll scrape right through the anti-glare coating.

Then again, super glue solvent (acetone, I think...) might destroy it too.

I would call the monitor manufacturer & see what's safe to use on the anti-glare coating.

Try PMing GOSHARKSS, he designs monitors - He'll probably know what's safe & what's not.

Yeah I was just gonna suggest a razor blade, assuming it's on the glass.

CA (Cyanoacrylate Adhesives) aka "Super Glue" usually have a debonding chemical to remove glue after it has cured. I know that it does seperate 2 stuck objects, but I'm not sure if it would completly remove all traces of the glue. Maybe soak it with the debonder and use some king of cleaning alchol to remove what's left?

See: http://www.greathobbies.com/scart/productinfo.php3?PartNumber=NHP210

I'm going to say I'm 99% sure I wouldn't be worried about screwing up the anti-glare coating becuase the glue probably ate through it already.

it is an LCD monitor, the glue on it isnt that bad, i can see right through it, but it acts like a spectrum, i see more colors than I am supposed to.

Are you sure you're not talking about LSD instead of LCD? ;)

Seriously, most of those screens are replacable. If nothing gets it off, see what it would cost to replace the antiglare screen in front of the LCD itself.

You can try Goo Gone or De-Solv it from K-Mart. It says it takes off Super Glue and it is not harmful to most surfaces. I don't know about an LCD screen though. I think almost any type of chemical is sure to take off the clear anti glare coating.

Try calling the manufacturer and ask them how much does it cost to repair your LCD.
