How to get sound from a Soundblaster Live with no "amplifier" on board??/

Hi,
I bought a Soundblaster Live OEM a few months ago... I guess it does not have an onboard amplifier... I did not think this would be a problem since my speakers have a built in amp. But I dont get any sound.. tried volume settings and everything. Should I simply buy a new sound card? Thanks in advance

where did u get one with no amp? arent they built in, mabey urs is just busted?

If you are not getting sound, then:

1. Your speakers are not amplified
2. You have a box muted in play control
3. You have your speakers plugged in to the wrong jack in the card
4. Speakers are not plugged in / powered on
5. Sound card drivers not installed properly
6. Sound card is defective
7. Speakers are defective
8. Bad speaker cable

Some things to check anyway.

9. You messed it up when you stuck your wang in the speaker jack.
