Acetone will fog/eat plastic. Try wd-40, let it soak for a few minutes, then wipe it off.

Lamp oil (kerosene) will take it off without damaging the plastic. Remember to rinse with soapy water.

Try in this progression.

An eraser (those small block erasers).
Rubbing alcohol.
Paint thinner.

I guess the old arts are lost.

All you need is Scotch tape (the clear, office/wrapping paper kind)

Take a small fresh piece and hold it between your thumb and fore finger. With the sticky side down, apply it to the glue and pull directly off (don't peal it off, snatch it off). Do this many times fast, and each time a little more glue will come off. If the tape loses adhesion, get a new piece of tape and continue.

WD-40. Probably harmless to most any surface and loosens up any glue quickly so you can get it off cleanly.

A nice strapping piece of Duct tape :D Like those High Life commercials say..."A Man can use duct tape to fix anything".

Seriously....put a piece of duct tape over it....rub...and pull it off...repeat till all the adhesive is on the piece of duct tape.
