Sounds like you fired up SETI, is that right? Are you using the text-only (CLI) version or the screensaver version that has the graphics? Welcome to the circus by the way! 😀
i guess this is for SETI. If it and your using the CLI client get a program called Seti Driver you can find it here under addons. and you can set it to have a cache of WU's. If youre just using the CLI alone then after it finishes a WU it should just connect to berkely and download more.
SETIDriver is definitely a good way to go. There's a handy step-by-step configuration guide here which shows how to get it set up. If you like detailed statistics, set your SETIDriver up for OrangeKid's SETIQue proxy as described, and you can get stats updates including the completion times of all your recent work units.
Seti is already set up and my machine crunched the first set of data and sent it to Orange Kids Proxy. The little blue saucer in the tray turned green and no new data was downloaded.
That happens sometimes for whatever reason, be it a down server or the internet.
That is why we que multiple WU's so we have something to do in the mean time.
