OK, first off here's my setup....

Gigabyte K8NSNXP mobo w/f9 BIOS (latest available from GB website)
Athlon 64 (socket 754) 2800+ w/Venus 12 HSF
Albatron GF 4200ti
1 GB (2x512) DDR 400 Patriot ram
The usual assortment of HDDs, optical drives, etc.

And now for my question: does anybody know how to configure MBM 5 to properly display temperatures on a Gigabyte K8NSNXP (s754) MB? Right now, the CPU temp shows up as 37 - 39*C, and the case temp shows as 8* all the time. The case temp is obviously wrong, but I'm sure that the CPU temp is incorrect as well.

I know the CPU temp is wrong, because I have the HSF running on its own thermal probe. When I stress the system, I can hear the fan speeding up on the HSF (obviously in response to the thermal sensor detecting a heat increase) but the indicated temp on MBM 5 doesn't change. When I reboot and go straight into health monitor in bios, the CPU temp shows up as 45* or thereabouts.

My thoughts - I think that the shown "CPU temp" is actually taking a reading from the sensor for case temp. I have no idea where the 8* reading for the case temp is coming from, nor do I know which sensor to bind CPU temp to. Does anyone know how to setup MBM 5 to work with this board?
