I was wondering how you guys go about setting up teams within the TeAm. I post regularly on vwVortex and Quake3World and was wondering if they would be more willing to join if they could use a generic vwVortex or Quake3World account. Is there any way to set this up? I see there are a couple teams on our TeAm already (Federation, Team Within A Team, etc.). How could I go about doing this? Or should I just get them to register individually?

i'm sure smokeball or someone with a bit more experience will be all over this question, but all it boils down to is that they all have to enter the same email address for the "generic" member/mini-team. Someone would abviously need to register that "generic" group and then tell the recruits to enter said email address when setting SETI up.

If I am mistaken, those that are wise, please let me know cuz I co-heading up a mini-team of my own - Basilisk420

Most mini-teams run under the same name and go through a proxy and individual stats are kept track of on the proxy. OK can set this up on his proxy or a member of the mini-team could run a proxy dedicated to the members of that team. Or they could just register individually and become a member of our community.

Do these sites already have their own teams? We wouldn't want to steal members of other teams as that would be very distasteful.

CADkindaGUY is right about how the members would register. Then they would show up in SETIQ as the same member but you could seperate the members of that team in the clients section like TWTA and The Federation do although there members aren't as cleary defined now as they were in the past.

This would be to recruit new members only. Neither of them already have teams.
