Ask HAL9000 to help you. 😎
Call the store for availability first, if possible have them put it on hold. How much would the fare be?
How far? If it was ~2 miles or so, I'd walk it with a cart.
if their ikeas are like our ikeas, you can't get very far with their cart.
I think around £30, the same cost as using Ikea's delivery service.
The only issue is I'm not sure if the stuff would fit in a taxi.
Go to the Ikea store and check how big the desk packaging is, go to the customer loading area, see if any customer is loading their purchases to a big enough truck, ask them if they can give you a ride/delivery for some $$$, if they agree, then go purchase the desk.
Have you thought about calling ikea and asking? If on the internet, are package dimension stated?
Do they have something similar to Zip Car service in London?
I just moved out from the city and there is an Ikea nearby so went in for the first time.
No wonder Lowes is going out of business, prices are half.
Lowes doesn't really compete with Ikea.
that's maybe, 10% of Lowe's business.
Well apparently enough to shut down stores.
Lowes just closed down here leaving only Home Depot and Ikea.
