Anyone have HDR+AA working in Oblivion with ATI Tray Tools? I force 4xAA through ATT but performance is the same as 0xAA. Any ideas?

I'm assuming that you can't get AA working... Do you have Catalyst AI enabled? The Chuck patch is considered an application specific modification, so it requires Catalyst AI to detect the Oblivion executable.

AA is my problem and I have Cat A.I. set to low in ATT. Still a no-go. I had another copy of WinXP laying around so I installed a 2nd OS to run Oblivion off of (I'm getting desperate I know). Using the CCC I can get AA to work about half the time. Sometimes I'll force it through the drivers and it works and other times it doesn't.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's rather annoying as I'm trying to put some benchmark results together.

I usually have to make sure its set in both ATT and CCC for it to work correctly. CAT AI is on high for me.

Ah. I was hoping it would work with ATT so that I wouldn't have to install CCC. Guess that's not an option though. :frown:

Why would you install and run both CCC and ATI tray tools? The point of using ATT is to prevent the CCC from gobbling all your RAM and to have your rig boot faster. If you're going to use the CCC, ATT is redundant, plus you see no benefits from not runing the CCC.

I've had Oblivion HDR+AA working fine with ATT and the Chuck patch. Maybe not 6.6, but 6.5 worked fine. Assuming you already have ATT installed, install the driver only package from ATI, run the Chack patch, make sure Cat AI is on, enable HDR in Oblivion, and force AA in ATT.

i had all kinds of issues (i'll have to go find the post over at r3d; don't quite remember the specifics of it) until someone over at r3d stated they conflict somehow.

doing nothing other than removing ATT cured my woes with oblivion.

EDIT bah... so much for going by memory.. the problem with ATT was not HDR, but rather Adaptive AA (AAA would not function until traytools was removed).

Because AFAIK there is no digital vibrance/saturation setting on ATT

Also, beta 6.6 chuck patch works fine in Oblivion w/ official 6.6's for me

Hmm, well I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong than. AA still only works about 1/2 the time even with CCC. I bench the game at 4xAA, exit the game and force 2xAA through the driver, and start Oblivion up again but it doesn't take for some reason. Any trick to getting consistency? Maybe a rain dance while patting my head and rubbing my belly at the same time?
