how to get a wireless bridge to work with wired router

I have a dlink gamefuel router that works flawlessly so far(knock on wood) It has 3 of 4 wired ports used. I have an older dlink router DI-624 that I would like to set up as a wireless bridge running through the gamfuel router. This is so I don't have to buy a wireless adapter for the old xbox that is in the other side of the house and is not feasible to run a hardwire to it. Is this possible, and are there any links to show how this is done?

Very few Wireless Routers can be configured as a Bridge.

D-Link Routers unfortunately are Not part of this group.

Yap, a Router with DD_WRT can work as a client.

However it Not always work with other Wireless chipsets I do not know if it works with D-Link gear.

I do know that the d-link is not able to flash to dd-wrt, I would have to purchase a buffalo or linksys router that would, so I am wondering if the cost of the router, while cheaper then a wireless adapter for an xbox; would the xbox adapter have a better signal then the wireless bridge, enough so that it is worth the cost difference?

No. An AP will most always have a better radio then a client card, not to mention all the extra features you gain by using one in this scenario.
