I have a beautiful NEC MultiSync FE991SB monitor. I was moving home from school yesterday when I discovered a scratch about an inch long on its goregous screen. I'm pretty sure it's a scratch and not some gunk on it because if feels a little depressed. Is there any way I can buff that out of the glass? It's not too bad, it's just noticible when you are looking for it. Thanks!

One thing about monitors is that over the glass they have all kinds of screen coatings, just like sunglasses do. You could buff the glass, but this would make the rest of the screen look terrible and remove the rest of the coating. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this. I would find the person who scratched it, and ask them to cough up $500.
