i have only 200 mg free space in drive c
how can i free huge space from drive c.
i used clean disk program but it free a little space.
my os is XP profficianal
thanks in advance

Change the swap file location to other drive.
Go to Settings->CtrlP->System->Advanced->Performance->VirtualM->Change.

also, remove your system restor point... (right click my computer, go to properties, system restore, put a check in the "turn off system restore" check box.

Start>run>"cleanmgr"

check everything and hit OK, then

internet explorer

Tools>internet options>Temorary internet files settings>reduce space allocation to 30 mb

How many programs and games have you installed? How much space is being used by applications and games?

So your drive is partitioned and you want to move space from drive E to drive C? In this case you'll need an application like partition magic to resize the drives. There's probably some freeware apps that someone else here could recommend as well.
Also, how much free space is on drive E? I'm asking because i want to make sure that windows is reading your drive size correctly.

format c:

COME ON, YOU KNOW SOMEONE WAS GONNA SAY IT, LOL.

But anyway if you use instant chat programs a lot (aim, msn, etc) then you probably have some junk in your recieved files. Check that out. Other things that I tend to forget are my mIRC(and other such progs) download folder(s). I HEAR that defragmenting sometimes retrieves a few MB, but i'm not sure if that's true or not. Oh and Window Washer does a good job for me, it's not free though.

i install windows xp as i said 3 month ago so if i format c i 'll be in the same problem after few monthes
so i think the solution is to resize my HD but i failed with partition magic.

Well if you haven't installed any software on those drives you can simply selete those partitions and then choose resize for drive c and choose maximum size then choose apply changes. If that doesn't work you can reinstall windows and during the install process choose to remove all the partitions and create one large partition. If you choose to do this we can help with this also if need be.

Why not simply reduce the amount of space allocated to System Restore?

1) Make sure you're using NTFS and not FAT.
2) Clean out your temp files from documents and settings>profile name>local settings>temp. Most people never clean these out and have a lot of garbage in there.

I have to partitions on my hdd. first (active) partition is FAT32 and 20gb in size, cuz i heard 20gb is about where lightness of FAT32 starts to get even out with resilience of NTFS to defragmentation. to me FAT32 seems to be noticeably faster, although i could care less about how fast my .avis/.wmvs/.mp3s/.flacs/ and therefore keep them on NTFS partition for more space and less slowage due to fragmentation.
