I've always been used to using HP's reformat software, but now that I have my own system I don't know how to format my hard drive! Can someone help me out? I want to format then reinstall Windows XP with the SP2.
 
Let the windows CD boot itself. When you get to the screen where it asks you to select partitions, just select the C drive, and choose reformat using the NTFS file system. Choose quick as it is a lot quicker
