How to FORCE win2k to use DMA and not pio mode after a format to NTSF ?

Yep, I just formatted partition 01 to ntsf and now win2k refuses to use DMA mode. Why ?!?!?
I did all the updates and patches available.

Ahh !! Please ! I want my DMA mode back !!!
I reflashed my bios with the old version but that didn't gave me back DMA on my HD.
I have an Asus K7m now running on bios km1007.bin

Ok it worked !
I uninstalled the iDE channel and now it works. Microsoft... ehh !
