How to force my RX570 to 1080P?

I have an RX570 in my HTPC and it sees my projector as 3840x2160 which does work. However, my projector isn't true 4K, but a "pixel shifter" that can take a 4K image. The problem is I have a DarbeeVision DVP-5000S device which won't work with a 4K input, so I'm trying to force the RX570 to 1080P in the Radeon software but am not having much luck with that. Anyone know how I might do that? I would be grateful....

I usually set my display res. from Windows Display Setting. Is it not working?

Sort of -
I have Win10 set to 1920x1080, but in the Radeon software it says the display is 3840x2160, so it appears to be sending a 4K signal at 1080P resolution to the projector which works because the projector can take a 4K signal. But when I insert the Darbee which can't take the 4K, I get a "not supported" message from the projector.

Somehow I need to force the 570 into HDMI 1.4 mode since that is all the Darbee can take, but I'm not having much luck with that.
