Since version 29ish if I recall, they totally butchered the UI in Firefox, where the title bar is also the menu bar, and the tab bar is also part of the title bar, it's ugly! I don't use windows as much but whenever I do it just bugs me how idiotically designed it is. Also, what's with this new trend of getting rid of the menu bar? I always have to add it after a new installation.

This is what I mean. In Linux it's thankfully fine though.

This Australis/Chrome-interface (as of FF29) has been very controversial move for some time. You can sort of bring the old style back with this addon:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

After installing the add-on......

1) Import my custom settings that will bring a closer look to the old UI

2) Then right click on the top bar, click customize, and drag / drop items to make them look like this........ (this is my Cyberfox browser but you can achieve the same effect)

The end result isn't perfect and I've chosen not to go that route. But then again the current IU seems more like the Android version and I think maybe they are focusing on the Android generation instead of the Windows generation.

Pale Moon FTW! Cyberfox is alright, but their search box is horrid with just icons and no names. I have like 20 search engines.

Forgot about pale moon. For windows systems think I will install that instead. What's the official site for it? (I hate to google stuff like that, you end up with lot of fakes that have spyware and other garbage)

You don't need Pale Moon, also I don't understand the FF issue since FF is so customisable, here is mine .

"Tab mix plus "and "all in one sidebar" are awesome,I like my tabs at very bottom.

Palemoon is a one man show and can be slow to implement fixes. Since there is now no performance improvement (stated in the PM faq), I've went back to FF.

Use the icon button v2 option and disable the menus to gain some space at the top:

The IT cartel's war on humanity is currently being led by Google which used a (quasi-)open-source trojan horse (the Chromium engine) to dominate the browser. Sane people who need to actually do stuff with a browser in Windows just use the latest Opera with the Presto engine (12.17) and it's Chromium-based derivative for compatibility (if you need to bother with shitty sites that is).
