How to fix my new computer? (random crashing during games)

The games we play on this computer are Wc3 frozen throne, hl2 and css, and tony hawk's underground 2. When we're playing one of these games, sometimes the computer will crash, and if it didn't restart, sometimes we have to anyway because it will continue crashing. It shows a white screen and repeats noises in css and simply restarts in wc3 and thu2. We aslo tried to run the Doom3 demo and it crashed in the two times we tried it, never got more than 5 minutes. It showed the VPU recovery error. We used to get that but then I changed agp speed to 4x from 8x and turned off the pci settings, and it stopped showing that error for css, but now its doing it for Doom3. How to fix these problems?

to access the event viewer, open control panel, open administrative tools, open computer management, you will see event viewer listed in the left panel, the logs you are interested in are the system logs, specifically look for any events with a red error symbol

to run dxdiag, click on the start button, select "run" from the start menu and type dxdiag into the text box and click ok

i know how to run dxdiag, i dont know how to "send" it, as Mishoo told me to do

I looked in the even viewer and there were three categories: ACEEventLog, Application, Security, System
ACEEventLog - nothing in here
Application - 95% full of errors, most of them say event 1015 and source is Perflib, but some are different, like 1, 26, 27, and others and a few other sources
Security - nothing
System - has informations, errors, and warnings. the errors and warnings are mostly source DCOM and Browser

so what does this mean? ask me for more specific info if its not conclusive enough

i did give u the most common ones, didnt i? well, the dcom and browser errors under system have event (sorry i said event earlier when i meant source, changed now) of 10010 and 8032, respectively

Relax the memory timings to 2.5-3-3-11 and make sure to give the RAM at least 2.6 volts manually.

how do i do that? i'm not even sure if the memory is at 2-2-2-5 currently, that's just what patriot advertised at it, but i haven't changed anything...

What motherboard do you have?

In the motherboard's main BIOS menu, go into the uGuru Utility menu, it should be in there as DDR SDRAM Voltage.

I think that's in Advanced Chipset Features > DRAM Configuration.

well, i got into there, but there are so many things to change i dont know where to start... what should i look for so i can tell you what my timings are/change them?
