How to fix MBR in W98SE?

DrJeff

Does anyone know the command to fix the master boot record in win98se? I installed w2k on the D drive of one computer using the OEM disk, then moved the HD to another computer to serve as the master. That was a dumb move, did not work, but now on the "installer" computer the bootup asks which OS to boot and hangs if I don't tell it to do w98. I need this machine to default back to the w98 HD and quit using the NT loader file hidden on it. I just don't know how. Another friend told me to try C:\mbr -f in a DOS window, but that must be the wrong syntax. I cannot find MBR or anything related in any help file in w98.
Thanks, Jeff

boot off of a win98 boot disk and do the following
"fdisk /mbr" then "sys c:"

then reboot and things should be fine
