How to find the path of an image online

I'm trying to get the path of the actual image being displayed that ends with .jpg or .gif

It's script code, the source folder could be set to anything.

If you look at the source for getimage you might find a default path, and the site owners might be stupid enough to use it, and they might also be stupid enough not to use a different access setting for the folder.

OK, how about this... If I've got a list of URLs as links, is it possible to have internet explorer automatically visit each one so that each image get put in IEs cache?
