How to find out CD/DVD firmware version In Win2K?

Hi,
Does Win2K provide built-in function for user to find out the CD/DVD firmware version? (for IDE/SCSI)

I noticed the same thing, in win9x it was in the device manager with the drives properties, but I dont see it in win2k, however, my motherboard shows the firmware version when it detects the drives at boot up, check to see if yours does this too, if it goes to fast for you to write it down, hit the pause button (top right button) on your keyboard to give you time to get the info you need, hit enter when you are done to finish booting.

or you could just d/l this program, and it will show the firmware version as well as whether or not ur DVD ROM drive is region protected or not.
