How to extract a rar (with file name is too long)?

I'm trying to extract a rar file but it keeps giving me errors stating the file/path names is to long.

How can I open this? I'm currently using newest winrar.

try renaming the files that have a very long name.

How long is the path/filename? I've never seen that particular error before.

I did rename the file and the file path name is over 290 characters

Try extracting it to a root of the drive. If you're in a bunch of subfolders, it's just going to be even longer.
