How to Export E-mail Messages???

I'm trying to export messages in Outlook Express 6 on one machine into Outlook 2000 on another machine (the machines are networked). Any suggestions?

Does Outlook Express use the PST files that Outlook uses? If so, just copy the file (should be in a user directory somewhere, search the file extension) over to the new machine. Then in Outlook, select Import and point to that file.

I just wish there was a way to get the damn e-mails out of Outlook to use in a different program. But no, MS has to use a completely proprietary format that no one can convert from. *sigh*

copy the .idx/.dbx files into the OE directory on the PC with Outlook 2000 and then go into Outlook 2000 and import from OE

I searched for a .pst file on the other machine and came up empty. I was thinking along those lines as well.

I got it. OE 6.0 saves the folders (Inbox, Sent Items, etc) as .dbx files, which are hidden. You just got to find those and move them around.
