How to enable Win2k to automatically enter password at startup?

does anyone know where i can find the setting for "always assume this user is logged on" so i do'nt have to enter my password each time when i start windows?

What you need is Tweak UI.
Under the logon tab is what youre looking for.

In control panel, users and passwords, there's a checkbox for "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". If you enable it, and then disable it, you'll be asked to assign the default user. (If you're using the ALT + CTL + DEL requirement for logon, you'll want to disable it in local security policy.)
