Hi , I'm first of all new here and also very unexperienced .... but still I like to ask a question. I bought a new pc with this mobo : Ga-ma78gm-s2h and a GPU 3450 ATI

When I tried to enable Crossfire in the ATI CATALYST CENTRE 8.5 .... it wasn't there !!! On this picture you can see clearly the crossfire option on the left side but I don't : http://media.bestofmicro.com/Z...nal/780g_4_tft_ati.png

some say that crossfire is only available in Vista but that's obviously not true.

This article says that you should enable "something" in the BIOS settings : http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_8.html

But I am scared to change something before knowing where I can find it and how I must change it! So is there anybody how can/will help me out on this one ?

thx !

you need two videocards to run crossfire, unless you're talking about hybrid crossfire.

Now here?s where things get really cool for the value gamer. On its own, integrated graphics?even AMD?s Radeon HD 3200?might be considered insufficient for the latest, most demanding titles. But when you match AMD?s platform up to the Windows Vista operating system, you suddenly get support for Hybrid Graphics, a technology that uses the onboard Radeon HD 3200 GPU and a discrete board to achieve dramatically better performance. Hybrid Graphics relies on AFR to help divide the processing workload, so you?re best off with a discrete board evenly matched to the integrated core logic - faster cards will just be slowed down by the IGP. Pick up a Radeon HD 3450 online for $50 bucks and you?re good to go. Just be sure you?re running on Vista since Hybrid Graphics is not supported under XP.

Edit: oops, saw that the screen you posted is not what you see. As stated above, Hybrid Crossfire is Vista only.
