Although I had not previously been aware of the potential conflict, it seems that nVidia driver software can get tangled up in its own figurative "feet". Try an uninstall and reinstall. Anything with your card maker's name, or nVidia's, in the Add/ Remove, take it out. Reboot and put in the matching CD that came with the graphics card. The Wizard may not ask for the CD, or may not recognize an "INF" file on it when it does look at the CD. Not to worry. You'll get a default driver from Windows that will work adequately until you run the CD.
When the install runs, it will be asking about a second display early on. My recent second time around, I ignored most of the special options. In my case, I'd had two prior adapters with GeForce GPU's before the Ti 4200, and didn't uninstall the software, although I did remove the device from my Device Manager list each time. Apparently there was some time bomb ticking away like a Trojan, waiting for still another change, and the Ti 4200 set it off. That system developed a nasty and rapid Resource Drain that made the PC crash within three to four hours.
The Uninstall/reinstall cured that problem. Maybe it will enable you to run the TV at the same time as the primary display device.
