how to enable audio output via HDMI from HD 6850?

I recently installed an asus HD 6850 in my computer, and tried to run an HDMI cable to my Panasonic Plasma TV, but I am unable to get sound from the computer to the TV via the same HDMI cable.

Is this possible? Is there something I need to setup? I have a video signal on the TV from the video card but I do not hear any audio.

Thanks

You probably need to change the default playback device from your onboard motherboard sound card to the HDMI sound integrated in the video card.

Right click on the sound icon in the taskbar, or go to control panel -> sound to change the playback devices.

I'm assuming you do have the AMD drivers installed. If not, install the latest from AMD's website.
