How to enable ATA/100?

A7V (with latest BIOS)

I assumed this would be all running ATA/100 but HD tach consistently shows a burst rate of 66.7MB/s

No, it isn't. My 1200JB bursts to ~ 85 - 87 MB's
 
Billyjak, you likely have the same issue then, just didn't know it 😀

I've seen several HD Tach scores where people get 85MB/sec or so.

Mine averages a SUSTAINED speed of 41MB/sec - which is nice. 🙂

I thought I read on the hard drive review that the WD1200JB has a better sustained rate at the end of the platter.
I beleive it started fast went slow and then sped up.
I used to run the latency patch, but didn't try it on the 1200JB yet. Am going to do it now.
