A friend has a ECS K7SEM ver1.0a and I gave him a GF2 GTS. When putting in the card the computer would not boot no beeps or anything so I found the manual and it said there should be a bios setting to enable AGP. The bios setting does not seem to be there is the problem. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what I have to do to get this card to work?

Ok, I'm looking at the manual and it says it would be in the Integrated Peripherals area, and they show it in the list on the picture on page 47. So the option simply isn't there, then...? :( Sort of strange that they would even do that, most boards would simply switch to the add-in card when it was inserted.

Remember that AGP slots have two layers of connectors, so make sure you get past both sets... it took a lot of force on my K7S5A when it was new. Good luck, maybe it will work without needing the option... :(

I'm typing this post on a K7SEM/GF2-GTS combo right now (g/f puter ofcourse ;) ) I don't remember anything out of the ordinary when installing the vid card. I did however have to disable onboard graphics in the BIOS, it's in there somewhere. If you still can't find it, i'll be more than happy to look it up on this machine.

If you could look that up sometime that would be great, he still hasnt been able to find it in bios. By chance if it is there what bios version are you running?

well I went over there myself and turned out the vid card just wasn't seated well. It took alot of force to get it all the way in(was most and could just barely tell it wasn't just right) so I think he was just afraid to push it any harder and accidentally break it.

Thanks everyone
