how to edit WMV?

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend software to edit a large WMV file I have? I need to cut out all but 10 minutes.

Any help is appreciated!

Everytime I try to use it, it crashes in 5 seconds... I've removed and reinstalled, opened various files, to no avail.

any other software recommendations are appreciated!

Well, you probably have a codec or video driver issue then, and any other movie maker will be using the same software, and might suffer the same problems. Is your system SP2 and fully updated?
 
Yeah, movie maker should be able to handle large files perfectly fine (I have raw DV-AVI files that are 9 GBs). Are there any particular errors, did you check the event viewer? If there's any kind of file that WMM should work with it's WMVs. It could be that the WMV file you're trying to edit falls outside of some specification for WMM to handle (like 6 channel audio or something).
