how to edit the registry

can someone tell me how to edit my registry.

i want to make powerstrip load my overclocked settings then turn off.

i need to add "/exit" to the end of the line "pstrip.exe"

where can i find the registry?
and how do i search to find that powerstrip execuatable line?

please help

Make sure you back up the registry before you try any of this because one wrong move and you will be in deep doo-doo. After opening the Registry Editor, click on File---Export. Then name the file something like Registry Backup and put it in a location you can find later, if necessary.

I don't know exactly how powerstip works, but chances are the startup path is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run(Once, OnceEx, or some combination of that). However, won't it kill your settings when you exit the program? I mean, doesn't it have to be running to have any effect?
