How to edit a PDF File?

I want to be able to cut and past words and pictures from a PDF File that I downloaded
Is there anyway to do this?

Sorry, Tates -- that'll get info to into a PDF (actually, this program works very well! I've been using it for several months now...)

I think the question was how can I get info OUT of a pdf and into another document. There is a selector tool on the adobe toolbar that looks like a T together with the rubber-band selector. Using this will enable you to select text out of the pdf to past into another document.

I'm not sure there's a similar tool for a graphic, but for that you can do a screen print, then edit the screen print to be just the area of interest and insert that into your document.
 
On my linux box I have command line utilities called pdftotext and pdf2ascii
I used one of em awhile ago, and it worked well.
