As a young child I used to sneak to the kitchen after my parents put me to bed and eat butter. One night, I ate an entire stick of butter. After that I developed a severe distaste for it and only use it in cooking.

Butter is on sale at our local grocery store that we frequent when we shop for groceries like butter. $0.99/lb. I bought 5 lbs on Tuesday and another 6 lbs today. Might buy more tomorrow. It freezes. There is a lot of comfort in knowing there is 11 lbs of butter in the freezer.

That's pretty damn cheap. Around here cheapest it gets is $1.50/lb. The one day it was $0.99/lb there was an Indian family filling a shopping cart with butter. I grabbed ~4, when I left their cart was half full and still going up.

Butter is awesome.

Seeing how 1 lb = 454g and assuming butter is 100% fat, I think there's at most 454g of fat in there.
