If you're in the game, simply hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard. It's just above the "insert" button, to the right of the "F12" button, and to the left of the "scroll lock" button.

Open something like Photoshop, and click Edit > Paste

Yeah, know about the print screen feature, but I want to take multiple shots without have to go in and out of the game.

CS and 1/2 Life was F5 and it would save it to multiple files. At work now so I can't go try any of the F # keys just yet.

AFAIK, RTCW does not have that service. I'll check when I get home tonight, but I'm pretty sure that RTCW doesn't support that.

Ok, thanks! Too bad when doing print screen doesn't save multiple pictures.

Go to your RTCW console and try typing /screenshot "xx" where XX is the key you would like to use for taking screenshots.. ie. /screenshot "F6"

I belive that would work.. otherwise go in your RTCW directory and put somewhere in the file.. screenshot "F6"
But do not change anything else unless you know what it does :)
Also back up the file before making changes.

F11 is the default bind for screenshot.
Just use F11 and you shouldn't have to change anything.

He's talking about being able to take more than one screen shot before exiting into another program to dump them... it's not that hard to bind keys people...

In Quake3, you can bind a key to "screenshotjpeg" and it will take a screenshot in the format of a jpeg, since RTCW uses q3 engine, it should be able to do the same thing.

All that doesn't matter. If you guys read the thread, you'll see this in the third post:

<< Yeah, know about the print screen feature, but I want to take multiple shots without have to go in and out of the game >>

He's not asking how to take a screenshot... he's asking how to take multiples....

He does not have to bind any keys if he doesn't mind using F11 to take the screenshots.
It is the DEFAULT for screenshots.
You can take as many screenshots as you want using F11, they are stored at:

X:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\Main\screenshots
(with X being the HDD you installed RTCW)

You can use Irfanview to view or convert your screenshots to jpgs.
It is freeware and pretty good software.

FFMCobalt.. thanks for re-asuring us that your are almost the biggest idiot on these forums. You still have quite far to go before you reach GUTB's status.

You obviously have no clue what your talking about.. and who the fvck would use print-screen to take an ingame (3d based game) screen shot? wow..

-------------------------------

motoamd, can I ask what you want to do.. that is 'slightly interesting'? perhaps a map review site?
