Hi,
I am a noob.
I have Simens C2110 ADSL modem.
I want to change the default id and password of the modem.
How can I disable wan ping reply ?
What is the pros and cons of the above ?

Please tell me the easy and safe way.

The Siemens C2110 is a Modem/Router.

The menus to change the Router setting should be accessed by typing in to the Internet Browser.

http://192.168.1.1

default username--- admin

default password--- admin

As for WAN ping may be you should explain further what your concern is?

Actually I want to prevent my net from hacker.
My broadband is BSNL DataOne (India),it has very low security.
Anyone can hack my PC while accessing net and will get my id & password.
This kind of things already happened to some of my friends.
So,I need some tips or suggestions.....
