how to disable /top15 in statsme?

I know this may be an unusual request, but top15 has had a negative impact on my game server by making players too competitive and irritable.

I already tried eliminating the "c" option in sm mode sever al times, it doesn't take.
Also tried commenting out several lines in statsme.cfg related to top15, no go.

Any ideas from you game gurus?
