How to disable onboard video?

I have a new Voodoo 3 2000 PCI card that I want to use rather than the onboard video. Does anyone know how I can disable this on this IBM Aptiva?

Thanks 🙂

Go to MY Computer, Properties, Device Manager, Display Adapters, hilite the listed display adapter, hit the properties button. Should come up and give you a button that says something like "disable". Hit that button, then shut down the computer. Insert the V3 into an available PCI slot and restart your computer. I'm not sure what OS you're running. If it's W98, then Plug and Play will guide you.

Check the IBM site, I believe that the onboard video atuomatically disables when you install the new video card. If it doesn't more than likely that the MB has a jumper to disable the onboard video.

If there is a normal BIOS like most computers have, there is a line in there that says something like which video first and the choices are onboard, agp , pci slot
