How to disable on-board audio

I have the MSI Pro2-A mobo, and can't totally disable the onboard audio. I have set "Onboard Legacy Audio" to Disabled under the Integrated Peripherals menu in BIOS. What else do I have to do, windows keeps auto detecting a sound card, I haven't installed my SB Live yet.

There were two settings that I disabled...the one dealing with Onchip Audio, and then the one dealing with Legacy Audio. Haven't had windows detect it yet. Hope it helps.

If that fails, try washing your board, like another post says, to "clean" the onboard audio right off 😉.

disclaimer for the intellectually challenged...That was a weak attemp at humor, I do NOT recommend this procedure.
