I have a game controller to USB converter, and the only drivers are in a packaged .exe file called Setup.exe, and when installing them on Windows 7, gives a warning about unsigned drivers (but allows you to install them). But then when I plugged the device in, it said that it couldn't load the drivers because they were unsigned.

Is there a way around this?
The device: Text It was purchased at WalMart.

Ok, all I have to do is press F8 when Win7 is loading, and "disable driver signing enforcement".

But that leaves me with another quandry. Where the F did MS put the "Game Controllers" control-panel widget? It's missing!!! Is this a severe bug in Windows 7?

Stolen from a Google search:

"It's still there, but not directly on the main page. Instead, you have to click on Hardware and Sound and then Devices and Printers. Alternatively, click on Devices and Printers in the Start Menu - by default, this is listed below Control Panel on the RHS."

Hmm, that shows the controller, but it doesn't offer any way to test the axis, or configure it, like the real "Game Controllers" Control Panel item does.

Yet another way MS borked up their new OS.

Edit: Apparently you can get the controller options menu by right-clicking the icon. I was attempting to get it via double-clicking and menus.

So I guess this is solved, although the right-click "GAme controller options" shows only two options, not all three that are in the manual, for some reason. But it does work in Unreal Tournament, which is what matters most to me.
