How to diagnose mem leak

I recently starting using the trading platform supplied by ThinkorSwim and after the last upgrade, which they do every few weeks, my machine locks up from one to several times a day. I don't have anything else open except for a browser and email sometimes, and the TOS software isn't being taxed much at all. Everything goes fine for hours. Then the mouse will get sluggish, the video will go weird, and when I try to close the program the machine locks. All of this happens within just a few clicks. Tech support and me think it might be a memory leak but I don't know how to test for this. If there's a way to diagnose this for sure will someone let me know how? Thanks.

Using windows? Slap Ctrl-Shift-Esc, then hit the Processes tab and sort by memory. If TOS is gobbling up a huge amount it will have a very large number here... most likely be at the top of the list.
