Can someone tell me how to desolder? I want to desolder some capacitors off my geforce.

Do I just heat the capacitor and pull it, or am I supose to suck up the solder then pull it???

you should use a solder sucker to remove the excess and prevent problems but if you are careful it will not cause probs. Why are you removing them anyway?

not familiar with the board you are using but here it goes.

have it held stable in a vice and have a magnifying glass mounted on your workspace.

Make sure you attach a heatsink(the kind for soldering) to the top side of component lead.

heat component lead from bottom while gently pulling from top.

You're done. Make sure not to get the surrounding area too hot or it will fry components

Okay I'm back!

I removed the capacitors, but I don't see much difference. 🙁

I think I'll short the inductors now.

Well, I didn't short the inductors yet. I don't have any solder, doh😱. I thought I could just smear the solder across the inductor, but there is not enough solder to do that. Oh well, back to radio shack.

Actually 1400x1050@85Hz is okay, but definatley not as sharp as @ 60Hz.
