Hi all,

i have tried "clear recent history" in firefox,
and ccleaner too, however i still can't delete the sites i have been to.

i have 3 yahoo links, 4 google links all over the typed url area.
I want to get rid of those. Better if i can select which to delete and which to keep

You mean when you type xxx in the awesome bar it shows a site you don't want shown?

Mouse over the entry and press the delete button on your keyboard.

Maybe it's on your bookmarks. Did the STAR icon on the address bar lights up when those links shows up?
If yes, it's certainly on your bookmarks so cleaning won't delete it...

Exactly, there is a big star.
No way to clean it?

I still hate this awesome bar crap, but I decided to put all the sites I regularly visit in my bookmark toolbar. There is a way to clean it I believe, but it isn't as simple as just clearing the cache and such unfortunately.

Hah, if it's in your bookmarks... it's gonna show up. Even if you could get it to disappear, it's in your bookmarks which is still very accessible with a couple mouse clicks. Remove it from your bookmarks via the Organize Bookmarks option.

Or, if the "awesome bar" is bugging the heck out of you, just go into about:config and change the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults value to -1.
